As 2024 wrapped up, we were presented with a couple of opportunities regarding the future of our program. In the end, we decided to merge with a great program that currently runs their club on the Peninsula, NorCal Rush. When Samurai started in 2021, we had hoped to form a few teams, build a community and make an impact with youth basketball in the city.

Almost three years later we can say our experience far exceeded what we had hoped for and we cherish the connections and memories we've made. Every player, parent and supporter of Samurai since we started has meant so much to us and we are eternally grateful for the support over the years as well as all the continued support.

What does the merge mean?

We consider it a rebrand and partnership.

When we begin our next phase as NorCal Rush SF, we will be changing our practice model to 1-2x on weeknights with games on most weekends. 

​

Our community matters to us and our hope would be to keep growing in the city along with the Peninsula teams. In our future we're looking to host tournaments, camps, travel tournament options and more. 

​

Our inaugural NorCal Rush Season will begin on Sunday February 23rd with a tryout followed by a season that will run until mid June. The majority of the Spring/Summer Season will be played in and around San Francisco.
